Peg Cagle and his husband Daryl Cagle have produced "Daryl Cagle's Pro Cartoonists Index," a wonderful on-line source of lesson plans for use with elementary, middle school and high school students. They also have cartoons to view and links to main resources.

Peg, a teacher at Lawrence Middle School in Los Angeles, knows what teachers need. The site encourages viewers to begin with the "Teacher's Tour of the Index" which will guide teachers through the site.

How did they get so many cartoons in one place? Daryl, a syndicated cartoonist and first vice president of the National Cartoonists Society, persuaded his colleagues to participate. How's that for the power of persuasion?
